Since returning to the Danish Superliga in 2022, Lyngby have finished 10th in both seasons, just above the relegation zone. After the first four rounds of the current season, it seems that Lyngby could again struggle for survival, as they have recorded two draws and two losses so far. Last weekend, Lyngby picked up the second point in the season when they played 1-1 on the road against Nordsjaelland. The home side finished the match with 71% ball possession and 18 shots on the goal more than the opponent, but Lyngby, with a lot of luck, secured a draw. 

Midtjylland has won four Superliga titles in the last ten years, including the previous season, when they surprisingly finished ahead of Brondby and FC Copenhagen. Midtjylland's goals for the current season are to defend the title and qualify for the Champions League spot. Thomas Thomasberg's team has been playing well since the season started, as they are eight games without defeat. On Tuesday, Midtjylland played 1-1 on the road against Ferencvaros. After winning 2-0 in the first leg, a draw in Hungary was enough for Thomasberg's team to progress to the next Champions League qualification phase.

Lyngby scored only two goals in four league matches. On the other hand, Midtjylland allowed only one goal in the previous five games. We shouldn't expect more than two goals in the upcoming tie between Lyngby and Midtjylland.
